Christmas Goofy

New from WDW, MGM Studio's, Spectacle of Lights 2002 Musical Goofy Bean Bag.   Here we see Goofy in a red Santa suit with lights strung around him.  He has The Osborne Family embroidered on his hat.

Pins & Lanyards

Disney online has been doing pretty good lately.. as traffic has been high.  Barry emails that it worked fine for him but it was a little big slow.  I am told that the online store will soon have this lanyard available.  This was in some of the UK Disney Stores a while ago. It retailed for £12.99 in the stores.

Light up jumper Pooh

Today was the official release of Light up Jumper Pooh in UK Disney Stores.

This Pooh is wearing a lovely matching jumper and hat set in bright red velour with green trim. The jumper has a reindeer print on the front and there is a sprig of holly with berries on the corners of Pooh’s hat. If you press his hand the berries twinkle giving this Pooh a very Christmassy feel!

At the beginning of 2003 Disney Store is due to release your favorite characters from the Hundred Acre Wood in a brand new fabric. Rumors are that this set will feature more characters from the Hundred Acre Wood than you usually see so keep your eyes posted for more details.

Update:  In this series Minnie and Eeyore were not to be found.  But they did have Pluto

Yoko sends pictures of Plush items found at Tokyo Disneyland.  They are all about 40 cm height and sell for 3900 yen each.  Here we see Winter wonderland White Pooh, Tigger and Mickey.   They are not identical to items we have seen in the USA.  Both Pooh and Mickey have the addition of white holly and Tigger has reindeer antlers and some tan coloration added to him.

I just noticed these new Salt & Pepper shakers have arrived in Disney parks.   I thought that these were interesting set as they match the Winter Lbbp set that was released at WDW last year.  Of course this bean bag set included Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore.

There has been reports of these mbbp have made it onto stage even though their release date is scheduled for November 19, 2002

This is the current Best guest promotional item which started November 4, 2002.   Best Guest have to spend $150. to qualify for this promotion.

New Mini Globes

New Winter Mini Globes from USA Disney Store.  These are the same globes that have arrived in Paris and Australia.  Here we see Tigger ice skating.  On the outside of the globe is a sign "Skating is what tiggers do best".   Eeyore is sitting on a snow bank wearing Reindeer ears and his sign says "Reindeer Crossing"   I was told that Pooh globe had not shown up yet but was coming.

Hanukkah Pooh 2002

Hanukkah Pooh 2002 has just started to arrive in USA Disney Stores.  This is the second Pooh we have seen released named Hanukkah Pooh.  This one is dressed in a blue robe, with blue yarmulke and holding his dreidel. The date 2002 is embroidered on his left foot in sliver. Hanukkah Pooh is retailing for $8.50.

DAT 2002 Pooh (Day After Thanksgiving Pooh) will be on sale for $8.50 in USA Disney Stores the day after Thanksgiving.   It appears that Pooh has already reached and is being sold in some stores as he was found on ebay today.

Marc from Pooh Universe brings us information about the Around the World Santa Pooh's. Each one has their own descriptive tag which tells some information about the history behind each Santa. The hang tag does label them as "12 Days of Pooh". Each are retailing for $9.50 and can now be found at most Disney Stores in the US.

November Birthstone Pooh

Here is the picture of November birthstone ( Topaz) Pooh.
 Pooh wears brown coat and a white scarf.  The beanbag retails for 1200 yen and the dangle retails for 680 yen.

Snowman Mbbp

Coming next week in UK Disney Stores Snowman Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger.

Pooh seems to have been caught out in the snow and has ended up with a giant snowball wrapped around him! Looking like a traditional snowman with a twist, this Snowman Pooh has got a great big hat on his head and a natty red and green stripy scarf around his neck.

Eeyore looks a bit confused and doesn’t seem sure how he ended up encased in snow! Hopefully having his hat on his head and his stripy scarf around his neck will keep him warm in the cold weather.

Tigger has also been out playing in the snow and makes a great snowman. Tigger is encased in a huge furry snowball but has managed to free his arms enough to take his hat off his head, although his stripy scarf is still round his neck.

Thanksgiving beans have just been released in Disneyland. Here we see Pilgrim Eeyore and Indian Corn Pooh.

 Another new release from Japan Disney Stores is Little Friends Winter Rabbit and Leopard.   Both have three snow flakes on the body. They do not have dangles to match the mbbp at this time.  Retail is 980yen each.

Danbury Mint Mickey Mouse

Sue writes in that Danbury Mickey is not a is NOT exclusive to the Cubs..  there are quite a few teams available including the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Anaheim Angels,Cleveland Indians, Cinncinati Reds, St Louis Cardinals Chicago Cubs and New York Mets.

Mickey mouse was released in August and there will be at least nine figurines in the set. The second figurine is Pluto as the "Ballboy" which was just recently released the rest will be Daisy, Chip & Dale, Goofy, Donald, Minnie, Uncle Scrooge.  I think there is at least one more but unfortunately I don't have the full list in front of me at this time.

Danbury Mint Mickey Mouse

Marc writes in that Danbury Mint is coming out with an exclusive Mickey Mouse Chicago Cubs figurine. Mickey is dressed in a Chicago Cubs outfit and is in the process of throwing a pitch on top of a baseball mound. The mailing did not state the release date for the figurine. It was basically a pre-order for the figurine. It does state the it will be a Limited Edition. The mailer also did state that the price for the figurine is $49.00 plus $6.00 shipping.

Yoko sends us some pictures of Tokyo Disneyland  Halloween items.
Here we see Halloween Jumping up Witch  Pooh which retails for 1800 yen.   He has battery in his bottom, and  when you push his head, he jumps up.   Halloween witch pooh pin plush retails for 1000 yen.  When you push his belly  which have red mark, the balloon lights up.

I am told by Disney CM that the next catalog is November 4, 2002.  In the next catalog I am told that Halloween Pooh and Piglet finally show up!  This set has actually been available for sometime.  To order it you have to call the Disney Catalog.  (As of this date it is not available online or in the Disney Store.)  This set originally came out at $18.50 but is now on sale at $12.50

Glitter Pooh Family

This series of Pooh Family Mini Bean Bags is sure to catch your eye this winter as their fur has special glittery fibres in it. To get you in the festive mood, Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore not only have a Christmas Tree embroidered on them, but the year 2002 as well.

2002 Japan Little Star Good Friends Pooh & Piglet has just been released in Japan Disney Stores.  Here we see Pooh in his typical red shirt.  Pooh has a bee sitting on his shoulder and is holding Piglet puppet.  The tag on piglet reads "We are good friends".

White Christmas

Not pictured but coming this Christmas will be several different version of winter white mbbp and plush items.   It sounds like Glitter and White from some reports that I have received. David noticed two different pooh sets costing $20. "One all white with Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore & Piglet. The other set was white and purple of that set I only noticed Pooh Tigger and Eeyore. There was also all white Mickey, Minnie, Dumbo, and a few other characters. Then there was a larger set of all white ones. I didn’t catch the price though or characters beside Pooh, Mickey & Minnie.. The whole front corner of the store is filled with white plush items."

November 4th and December 2nd are to be major days for the MBBP and Plush.

Dave emails " I went to the Disney Store at the South Bay Galleria in Redondo Beach , CA .  Apparently this is a test store and the other stores won’t have these until after Halloween.  But here the Halloween items were all gone and everything is Christmas.  Many of the items in the pictures you have posted below are available there. They were still stocking the shelves and will until 12PM tonight.  Bean Bags are 3 for $15. They are not sure how long the sale will last though  They had four of the 12 Christmas Around the world Pooh beans out, and four of the Occupation Pooh beans. The Christmas Pooh beans retail for  $9.50 each"

Santa Plush & Santa's of the World mbbp series

This picture features a whole range of Pooh and friends plush dressed as Santa, and yes even the forgotten one, Piglet. These are all standard 14" plush. You can also see a larger Santa Pooh plush as well as a few MBBP. The ones sitting in front of the large Pooh plush are Snowman Pooh and Tigger which are different from the ones being released in the UK.  Below them, there are a few shelves of Pooh MBBP (pictured below also).  These Pooh bean bags portray all of the different Santa's of the world. There will be 12 of them and released in a series, not all at once.

Pajama Eeyore

Here we see Eeyore plush dressed in red pajamas with a
blue snowflake pattern on it. He is also wearing a stocking cap.

Huge Eeyore Plush

This pictures above shows some plush that has already arrived at the
Disney Store, but the main feature in the picture is of a really big Eeyore plush!  Kelvin writes "I believe he is not stuffed as most plush are, but rather, this one is filled with air so it is not as heavy as it may seem."

Plush Ornaments

It looks like we will see some new plush ornaments.  Looking at these pictures I also see some plush ornaments from prior Christmas releases.  New this year is Stitch plush ornament. To the right, is a bunch of Nutcracker Mickey plush and from what I understand from Diane has told me, these plush will be available the day after the U.S. Thanksgiving as a "gift with purchase" Details of how much you would have to purchase to obtain the plush are unknown at this time but I will fill you in as details become available.

Here we see several horse plush, but we are not sure from which movie at this time. Then over to the right, are several variations of a Marie plush wearing different colored ribbons and bows to correlate with Birthstone colors. One for each month. To the right of those, are more plush that have already been available at the DS for some time, except for the Jumbo Stitch plush that should be released soon.

2002 Japan New Pastel Color Pooh  which comes in Purple, Pink and Yellow and retails for 780Yen. There is entire length in Pastel Color Pooh about 15cm(5.9inch). A magnet is into the hand through them.  Then, each hand can be joined. A bean is in the inside.

These new pins have just been released in Japan Disney stores.  They match the bean bags that have also been released.  Yoko tells me that they were open stock and sold out quickly.

Passport to Adventure Mickey bean bag was originally designed for the Disney Stores. He would have been released as part of a set (with Minnie) in a travel kit. The beanies were produced and then put in storage... never to be seen again. Right before these beans were destroyed (as plans for the kit never materialized)  There is no printed price on the tag since he was going to be part of a package item. He has the normal large tush tag with licensing information on it along with the small tush tag that reads PASSPORT TO ADVENTURE MICKEY.

Milkman Pooh

Update:  March from Pooh Universe has emailed letting us know that he found Milkman, Lumberjack, and Doctor at his Disney store.  They are each retailing for $8.00. These are the same as the Japan ones that were released earlier this year. Although, they don't have the hang tags like the Japan ones did. I did talk with some of the cast members, and they said that they have reports that other Occupational Pooh's will be coming out over the next few months.

New Mini Globes

Disney is releasing new Mini Globes that resemble the first release of the large normal size globe.  Pictured here is the Cinderella Globe.   Also available is a Beauty and the Beast Mini Globe and a Princess globe with Belle, Cinderella, and Ariel in front of a Castle.

Stitch Mbbp

USA Disney stores have just started to receive new bean bags Vampire Stitch and Hula Stitch.  Vampire Stitch is 7" and is wearing a vampire black cape and teeth. Both retail for $8.50 each.

WDW Santa Pooh 2002 comparison

WDW Santa Pooh 2002 pictured here is now available via mail-order or from the park.  Mark from Pooh Universe emailed today that if you look closely at him this years version is slightly different than last years version. The button on his right foot is shaped like a ornament and the cookie that he is carrying does not have any mouse ears like last years version does.  The cookie also appears to look a tiny bit bigger.

Winter Days Pooh & Eeyore new bean bags, due out in UK Disney stores October 1, 2002

Pooh is dressed for winter in a fleece jumper with matching hat and scarf in different shades of brown. In his hand he is carrying a big mug of hot chocolate to try and keep himself warm when it’s cold outside

Like Pooh, Eeyore is anticipating the worst and is dressed in a pale blue fleece jumper with matching scarf and hat, both with a silver snowflake design. Eeyore is also holding a mug of hot chocolate to warm himself up with.

Fuzzy Pastel Pooh

Jen from JayDee Toys emailed an update today on Australia beans.  She tells us that Australia Disney Stores have received Policeman Pooh. This adds to our occupations series (Same as Japan). We also got three all new beanies - 8" Pastel Pooh. They don't seem to be officially MBBP, but they are beanie size, have beans in the feet and butt and to me look exactly like a beanie. They come in pink, blue or yellow and are made of a soft fuzzy material.

Japan Disney Stores released Halloween 2002 items today, September 1, 2002

 Pooh buru buru Pooh, when the string back of pumpkin is
pulled, his wing begin to brave. He is 1200 yen.

Witch Pooh and its dangle  980 yen 680 yen
Bat Pooh and its dangle  980 yen 680 yen
Bat Pooh which can also be hung upside down.  

Halloween Devil Mickey, Pluto and Donald were available from Japan Disney
Store also today. They are one of Little Star, they sell for 980 yen each and their dangle
is 680 yen each.  Witch Pooh , Devil Mickey, Pluto and Donald bean bags have rings and little
buttons on their both hands. So they can be attached with buttons and lined up. 

When you open the Pumpkin bag, Witch Pooh and Bat man Pooh are available.
It costs 2000 yen.

Pumpkin Pooh lease is 1800 yen, pooh is attached to lease with the little
bottom, Pooh can be take off and take on.
