Looks like there is another version of Betsy Ross Minnie released at WDW and Disneyland.   Minnie has a “sewing needle” in her hand.  Her flag is not the ordinary circle of stars; it is 3 circles creating a Mickey icon, of course. 

New Classic Bee Pooh Dangle from Japan Disney Stores.  Approx. 4" in height.  Notice Pooh has a little Hunny Bee plush attached to the chain which is located on his head.

Pictured here is Morocco Mickey .   He is available at WDW Epcot showcase. He is dressed in an “Aladdin’ style costume with a Moroccan flag in his hand.

4th of July Beans

New at Disneyland park,  Firecracker Pooh  and 4th July Goofy, 2002 Bean Bags. Here we see Pooh bean bag dressed up in a colorful 4th of July Firecracker outfit. “Happy 4th of July! 2002" Goofy Bean Bag is dressed in a fancy and very Patriotic Red White and Blue outfit and is proudly waving the flag of the United.  On the bottom of both beans have a silver button that reads “Happy 4th of July! 2002”.

Japan Disney Shibuya Koendori  had their two year anniversary celebration on Saturday.   There were many items released to celebrate this anniversary of "Just Pooh".     Barb found several items there that she had not seen before.    We do not know if these items were exclusive yet or if they will be available at other Disney Store locations.

Barb writes today that she purchased new Green & Orange Pastel Pooh Lbbp.   We now have 5 colored Pooh Lbbp from Japan as they join the already released Pink, Blue, & Yellow LBBP Poohs released in Japan Disney Stores.

Aloha Pooh Large Pooh bean bag plush 2002 were released on 20 April.
He has many beans on his bottom.  He comes in pink or blue Aloha shirt.
He has pineapple button on his shirt.
Aloha Pooh Large Pooh bean bag plush 2002 is 3500 yen.
Pooh is about 26cm sitting.

Aloha Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Mickey and  Minnie 2002  plush pins were
released on 24 April.  

Aloha Pooh, Mickey and  Minnie 2002  plush pins are available in different 6
colors.  Aloha Tigger and  Piglet 2002  plush pins have 2 different color's shirts.
They are  about 13cm tall and they wear Aloha shirt or dress with a
necklace that made of beads.  

Plush pins are sold at 950 yen retail each.

Graduation Mickey

Another style of Graduation Mickey has arrived at WDW.  WE see Mickey in a old velour-like robe with "EARS TO YOU 2002 - Walt Disney World" on the back, and also on the top of his "mortar board". Mickey is also wearing orange & gold Mickey shorts.

Emerald Pooh (May) is the next in the Birthstone Pooh series. It will retail for 1200 yen

Rose Pooh  will be released 26th of April and sells for  980 yen.
You can see that both Rose and photo flame Pooh have a cute pink butterfly on their head.

Gerbera Pooh will be released June and sell for 980 yen.

Birthday Donald

Donald is going to see another Birthday this coming June.  Japan Disney Store has released a Bucket of beanbags for the celebration.  It has 4 beanbags dressed for the party...Donald, Huey, Louie and Dewey.

A: Donald Duck's birthday is officially recognized as June 9, 1934, the day he debuted in the Silly Symphony cartoon "The Wise Little Hen."

Donald's fiery temper immediately endeared him to audiences, and in the 1940s he surpassed Mickey Mouse in the number of cartoons reaching the theaters. Eventually there were 128 Donald Duck cartoons, but he also appeared in a number of others with Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Pluto. A daily Donald Duck newspaper comic strip began on February 7, 1938.

May Birthstone Necklace Minnie has just started to arrive in USA Disney Stores.  This is the seventh in the Birthstone Necklace series.   November through February can still be purchased from Disney online.  It is interesting to note that March forward have not showed online or in the catalog.  Minnie retails for $9.00

Graduation items

These Graduation items will be available in the April 22, 2002 Catalog.   Here we see Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger mbbp with their graduation diplomas.  These appear to be the the same as last years mbbp with 2002 date and it looks as if they have added a frame and 2002 Mickey ears cap graduation pin to the set.   We expect to see some other graduation items in the catalog and stores to include plush Pooh set.

Spring Bugs, Butterflies and Bees

Mickey, Minnie, and Donald Duck Little Stars have just arrived in Japan Disney stores.  They sell for 980 Yen.   Barb writes, "Minnie appears to be a pink butterfly, and Mickey is definitely a red ladybug, and all I can figure for Donald is he is a blue ladybug!  They all had matching dangles that sold for 580 yen."

New Spring Mini Globes

These new mini globes have just arrived in USA Disney Stores.  They retail at $10 each.  From top left Tigger in sitting in an open umbrella riding the waves.  Eeyore sitting in an old wash barrel with flowers and a duck around the outside base.   Pooh is sitting in his honey pot.  Piglet is in a watering can with flowers around base.

Nightwear Star Pooh

Limited Edition Exclusive to be released April 9, 2002

Pooh really is a star, and what better way to prove it than to hide him in this lilac star Mini Bean Bag. The star has ‘Pooh’ embroidered on it in silver, with stars and the moon dotted around it. When you unzip the star, Pooh is fast asleep inside, dressed in his silver and lilac nightgown and cap, which has a matching design to the outside of the Star. Sweet dreams!

He has a water bottle in one hand, and a silver foil wrap in the other to keep him warm when he has finished his run. He is also wearing a '1st place' medal, as he is sure to be a winner.

Disney Store re-introduces our Pooh Family Mini Bean Bag range this Easter in a new, much softer fabric. These Mini Bean Bags, featuring Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet will also have a honey pot embroidered on them, which is a change from the current butterfly embroidery

 Joy tells us that World Cup Pooh and Tigger are Zip-ups.   Both in Footballs with basic Mini Pooh and Tigger inside and each have a small football at their feet

Previously reported:  UK Disney's Official site reports that we will see Football Tigger and Pooh mbbp this summer.   Football meaning soccer to those of us who reside in the USA.

"This summer will see the biggest event in football, the World Cup 2002. To celebrate this event, Disney Store are currently planning to produce 2 Mini Bean Bags featuring Pooh and Tigger. The Mini Bean Bags will have the 2002 embroidery on them, which is sure to make them popular with both Mini Bean Bag Collectors and Guests who are into their football! The design of these Mini Bean Bags has not yet been confirmed but we will keep you posted with new information as and when it is available."

Tokyo Disney Resort Disney Store has now received these Minnie's.  From left to right we see Mulan, Mary Poppins, Tinkerbell and in front Cinderella.   In Japan they are being sold exclusively at the Disney Resort for 580 yen.  They were released the 15th of March .

Boat Race Pooh & Piglet

The Boat Race is a great British tradition, just as releasing Mini Bean Bags to commemorate special events is a Disney Store tradition. To celebrate this years race Disney Store are releasing Boat Race Pooh, featuring Pooh and Piglet in a boat as they attempt to win the race. The embroidery on the oar says 'Pooh Boat Race 2002'

Just released in UK Disney Stores 

Another Easter Mini Bean Bag release for Disney Store is this very cute Pooh, dressed as a chick, with another tiny chick for company! The little baby chick is attached to Pooh, and if you pull the cord between the two of them, they slowly come together again, like the best of friends. This is the first time Disney Store has released a Mini Bean Bag with moving parts so it is sure to be a great Collectors item.
