Africa Mickey and Africa Minnie Mbbp have recently been released in Animal Kingdom at WDW. They are dressed in traditional African robes of red, yellow and green with headdresses. Mickey has matching pants with the green and yellow trim around the bottom. Both are wearing dark red leather sandals to complete the outfits.

Pictured here is Bat Eeyore, Mummy Pooh and Vampire Tigger. Vampire Tigger very well made reminds me of the one's from the UK. Tigger is in a black vest, purple vest and a black cape holding a pumpkin pail he also has fangs also take a look at his face very different it has an expression on it. Eeyore is very well made he has a pair of wings and a cape with a pumpkin bucket. Pooh is covered with bandages and has a pumpkin bucket. They retail for $8.50 each.

Small World Minnie Mbbp
Pictured here is Small World Minnie mbbp. Minnie is dressed in a turquoise blue velour skirt and shoes with a white blouse, white pantaloons with lace trim and a bright pink satin jacket. Both the front of the blouse and the back of the jacket have a brightly colored Small World emblem and the front of Minnie's jacket says, "It's a Small World". Her outfit is finished off with a matching blue velour bow in her hair. This is a WDW theme park exclusive designed after the Small World attraction.

Crisanda reports that WDW has a new Africa Mickey and Africa Minnie mbbp. She said she also saw a Mexico Donald (different from the previous version) and Small World Minnie. Since I don't have pictures of them I have not yet been able to confirm if they are new or not. Anyone out there have pictures or more information?

Mission Space Mbbp
Mission Space beanies were just released on Friday at Epcot for the grand opening of the Mission Space exhibit. There is Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. They are all limited edition of 2000 each. They are dressed in orange space-age fabric astronaut suits with Mission Space logos on breast pocket and right sleeve. Minnie has the matching orange bow in her hair. Only Mickey and Minnie have the silver buttons on the left foot which states limited edition of 2000. I don't know why Goofy doesn't have one.

The front of the sweatshirt has the Best Guest emblem and the back of this sweatshirt says Happy Halloween 2003 with a picture of Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Figaro.

Patty E Cake Mickey Mbbp
Birthday Beanie the Beanie depicts Mickey as "Patty E. Cake Mickey" the host of the "My Disneyland birthday" Held at the Plaza Inn (Disneyland Resort) and can only be purchased at the Plaza Inn Birthday cart. The ERROR in this beanie is that the tush tag reads "Pattye cake Mickey". Very few of these were sold to the guest before the error was discovered and they were pulled from the shelves. Mickey stands 11" from the top of the candles on his head cake hat, to his shoes. He sells for $8.00 and he was released on July 4th 2003.

Japan Disney Store's will release an Autumn line of new goods called "MY SWEET HOME " at the end of August. Here we see Mickey and Minnie dressed in Red, White and blue. Very much in a Raggedy Ann style.
Sweet Home Mickey and Minnie plush which will retail for 2400 yen each. Sweet home mug for 800yen and then a wooden Welcome sign with Mickey and Minnie holding a bears hand. This sign retails for 1800yen.

These items are released in conjunction with the new E-Ticket ride, Mission: SPACE a new attraction at Epcot. A soft opening is planned for August 15, 2003. Disney describes Mission: SPACE as its most technically advanced attraction and "the first ride system ever created to take guests straight up in simulated flight." Imagineers also promise that the sensations will be the same as what astronauts experience.

Sweet as Honey. Which shows Pooh sitting in a blue chair eating honey. Tigger is on the back and beside Pooh is piglet on one side and Roo on the other. The set retails for £14.99
The More, The Merrier which retails for £14.99. This scene includes Eeyore, Tigger, Pooh and Rabbit playing on a fence with a little blue bird watching what's going on.

Soft Pooh
Pooh Soft Blue and Pooh Soft Pink have just been found at the Disney Store in the UK. I suppose they are this years boy and girl offerings as we have had in previous years, although these don't have dates on them. They were displayed with children's (toddlers) clothes in the store. Both have the new style tags on them. They are very soft and squishy and contain a small amount of beans in the bottom area of the Pooh. They both have a small rattle inside them when shaken.
Also worth a mention is that they retail at £6.50 which is a drop of 49p. We were told that the .99 pence thing is being dropped in favor of .50 pence so prices are coming down. We were also told the stores are expecting new consignments of NEW merchandise very soon. Things might be looking up for the UK stores then considering they are still up for sale.

Kilamanjaro Pooh Mbbp
Kilamanjaro Pooh has just recently been released at WDW. This is a mbbp and retails for $8.00. He is dressed in a felt khaki colored bush jacket which is belted. The jacket has multiple pockets. His hat is the Aussie-style with the one side of the brim pushed up. The symbol on his hat is an oval symbol with Kilamanjaro Safaris written on it and a tiny picture of an African scene with an animal on it which to me appears to be a Rhino. If you compare the prior release of Safari Pooh (Which was considered a Lbbp, pictured below) you can see that there are differences.

Store update
There are a lot more items in the Disney Store than there has been in a long time. Cinderella emailed that Disney stores are now receiving new plush releases for the Lion King to include a Jumbo Simba, Timon, and Rafiki. If you are a Aristocats fan then you will find a larger range of plush at the Disney store to include Berlioz and Duchess. Them from the Little Mermaid is a Jumbo Lady and a Jumbo Max. From Oliver and Company is a Pink poodle.
There is also a new line of plush which is corduroy. So far there is Pooh, Mickey and Piglet. I would think that there would be more.
The Disney store has more lunch totes than what's in the catalog. There is a Marie one and a Pooh one at the store.

2003 Eeyore Mbbp
On first look you might think this is the exact same 2003 Eeyore mbbp that we saw released at Disneyland, but you will notice that there is a difference. The new Eeyore has Walt Disney World embroidered across the top of the back of his jacket with 2003 below that. Where the Disneyland version just has a bee picture with 2003 (pictured below). Both versions are wearing a purple cap with '2003' stitched on it and a matching jacket. 2003 Eeyore also has a metal button that reads '2003.' Eeyore measures about 8" high.

New Plush
This soft and cuddly Tigger Big Teddy 25" plush is now available in UK Disney stores. He retails for £34.50.
Next is Tigger Bright 9" plush. When you press either one of his paws, if feels like paper crackling. When you press his paws, they squeak. When you shake him, you hear a bell rattle. His nose, belly and inside his ears is fabric with raised bubbles and is paws and feet is of a ribbed material. He retails for £10.50. There is a Pooh & Eeyore to go along with him. (Jayne says she bought this one at the Crawley Store, I have not found him anywhere else yet).
Also you will notice that there is a new Tags that is now appearing on plush items.

Doctor Mickey can be found at WDW. He is dressed a white lab coat with "Dr. Mickey" on the pocket, royal blue pants and black shoes. He is equipped with his stethoscope, head lamp and carrying his doctor's bag which is also labeled "Dr. Mickey".

Cuddle Buddies
New from USA Disney stores is Little Cuddle Kingdom Buddies Pooh, Tigger & Eeyore. They are approx. 2 1/2 inches tall and have beans in them. They come in sets of three and are attached to a card. Little Cuddle Kingdom Buddies retail for $10.50. There is also a Mickey set and Kathy thought that there were others.

New to USA Disney stores are these Tag-Along plush clips that can be attached to other items. They have been released along with the back to school items, such as backpacks. They retail for$5.50. They are plush with no beans in them. They are slightly larger then the older dangles. Not pictured is also a Pooh with a red cap with a book under one arm. There may be others but I have not received a report on which ones.

Soarin' Pluto mbbp
Part of a new collection of Aviator Plush released at Disney's California Adventure. Soarin' Over California Pluto joins Mickey, Minnie, Pooh and Eeyore in mbbp releases. Aviator Pluto has a suede flight helmet and goggles. His green scarf bears the Soarin' Over California logo.

Plush Jail Scene Dog
To commemorate the live-action movie of Pirates of the Caribbean, Disneyland has released a collection of merchandise featuring classic and interpretive images from the beloved attraction. Mouseshoppe writes an interesting description of this plush which I have to agree with! "The Plush Jail Scene Dog with Key is a furry critter that actually doesn't look a heck of a lot like the dog in the attraction. In fact, he looks more like an unfortunate meeting of a cheetah and a wolf. But he *is* holding the jailhouse key, and comes with a Pirates of the Caribbean hang tag."

Tokyo Disneyland Mickey & Minnie plush and plush pins
Those tag says "Magic Kingdom of Dream".
They wear gorgeous dress and look like emperor and empress of Magic Kingdom. They put on crowns on their heads also. They have gorgeous gown on which is cross- shaped in their back and the gown reach their feet. Plush retails for 3500 yen and plush pins retail for 1000 yen.

Kathy emailed and said thta she went to her local Disney
Store today and they her about some new items coming soon. There are going to
be Tag-a-longs that attach to the book bags. Kathy tells us " I saw only
tiny pictures of them. I did see Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore. I know that there
are others too, I assume to compliment the book bags. They look to be like the
keyclips. I do not know if they will have beans in them or will
be plush items."

2003 Graduation Mickey is in a yellow robe with hibiscuses shorts also has a red and yellow tassel and "The One To Be In 2003" on the top of his mortar board. Also holding diploma in hand. Also has 2003 on the front of his robe.
Nurse Minnie is in her white and red uniform she has a bag that says Nurse Minnie on it. She also has a stethoscope around her neck.
Resort Pluto sporting a white bathrobe and matching white slippers with a red Mickey head on both bathrobe and slippers. Also says "I Stayed At Walt Disney World Resort in red lettering on back.
Teacher Mickey is wearing blue pants with a white shirt and a red vest in on hand he has a red book with "123s" on the side and a ruler in the other hand.
Touristosaur Rex has on Mickey Ears hat with his name on it "Dizzy". He also has a pink flower shirt, he also has a t-shirt with a trex on it he also has a fanny pack with "Dinosaur" on it, also has sandals on.
White Pluto has on a light tan collar with his name on it.

"Resort Chip and Dale" from the monthly dress up series was released July 5, 2003 in Japan Disney Stores. Chip and Dale are dressed in resort/summer type outfits of floral shirts with flower lei 's around their neck. They cost 1200 yen each.

Back to school Pooh, Eeyore and Piglet have just started to arrive in USA Disney Stores.
Pooh has on a red vest, white shirt and a black bow tie. He's hold an apple in one hand and a book that says "Teacher's Pet Handbook"
Piglet is holding 6 rose's with a note that says "For My New Teacher"
Eeyore is sporting a purple ball cap and holding 2 roses in his mouth with a note that says
"To My teacher"
They all retail for $8.50 each and have a "new" price tag on them. It's not on the tush tags.

Shown here are items coming to Japan Disney Store. First is Pooh & Piglet Pouch
Their heads are lids. They are containers so you can put something in them.
Pictured here is Eeyore & Tigger plush in medium size. They retail for 2400 yen.
They are made of polyurethane that have impact, so if you hold one, you feel much better.
Pooh is also available and he comes in two different sizes, Medium and Large.
Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger come in medium and large. Piglet only comes in Medium.
Shown here is Pooh cushion in which we see Pooh in the middle of tree stump. Pooh can be put in or out of the stump. Pooh cushion retails for 2500 yen. Next picture is a Pooh pillow. Again with the tree stump theme. This time Pooh is on the log and piglet is in front of it. This set retails for 2800yen.

The same theme is followed with the Minnie globe as she is going through a trunk and has different accessories such as her famous red and white dress. In the globe she is in the same era as Steam Boat Mickey. These mini snow globes are approx 4 1/2 inches tall.
