WDW Halloween Releases

Halloween beans are starting to arrive at WDW.   I was told that they were going to ship out wish list mail orders starting the beg. of September.   If you have not yet contacted WDW to place your order you can do so by e-mail, fax or phone.

Mickey as a werewolf has a shiny black coat has turned into brown fur, and sharp claws extend from his gloves. His yellow shoes were too small to contain his new werewolf paws. His red pants have even been torn at the hem, and are held up with a gold cord. Mickey even has a bushy brown tail and fangs!

Minnie as a witch come in bewitching green velvet gown, belted with a coordinating felt band, accented with a spider buckle. Her green felt shoes have a cobweb pattern on them. Her gloves and hat are both green satin, and she carries a broom.

Winnie is dressed as Tigger.  He has an orange striped suit has an elastic springy tail. Whiskers are attached to Pooh's face, and he carries a pumpkin to hold his candy.

Mummy Tigger has gotten himself a little wrapped up in his costume. Bands of white fabric cover Tigger from wrist to ankle, with just his paws showing. Even his tail and ears have been wrapped. His headdress has a cobra head peeking out from it.

UK Disney stores have just released Sleeping Pooh £7.99 & Pooh with Honey Pot £6.99.  

Sleeping Pooh is lying on a blue pillow, wearing a yellow night shirt and hat.  I love when they do the sets, especially when piglet is small as he should be.

 Next week UK Disney stores were scheduled to release Pooh with Honey Pot.   This Pooh has a red T-shirt on and is holding a honey pot.  The honey is spilling out from the top of the pot.  

Not on our list of releases, but will also be released next Tuesday August 28, 2001 is another Pooh mbbp called Sleeping Pooh.     This Pooh is lying on a sleeping bag with a blue pillow.  He is wearing a yellow shirt (not the normal red one) He's also holding a little Piglet.    This set will retail for £7.99.

Tokyo DisneySea Cast Exclusive

With the opening of DisneySea just around the corner and with so many new items being released from the new park.   I thought it would be a good time to re-cap and picture this Cast Exclusive Doll that was released back when Construction first started on DisneySea Park.  He is bendable/pose-able and stands approx 18" tall.   He has a plush feel to him but does not have beans.

Gemstone Dwarfs

In Australia Disney Stores you can also find 7 Jeweled Dwarfs.   Each Dwarf holds a pickaxe in one hand and a Jewel in the other hand.  Pictured here today is Sneezy and Happy.

Squirrel Pooh

Today's release in the UK of Squirrel Pooh.   The design of squirrel pooh is much the same as the animal releases we have seen in the past.   Pooh in dressed in animal suit and it does not fully cover his hands or feet.     He retails in UK Disney Stores for £6.99

Zodiac Arrival

Libra Pooh has arrived to Disneyland.  As normal Disneyland gets the Zodiac items a couple of weeks before they start arriving to Disney Store location.   Here we see Pooh carrying his Libra Scale of Justice in the right hand all gold and in shimmery velvet.  He is dressed in a toga type costume which is a beautiful velvet royal blue color.  .He has on a pair of velvet royal blue pants with a wide draped sash of the same color across his shoulder and chest.

Rainy Day set arriving

Rainy Day Piglet, Pooh and Tigger has started to arrive to those who ordered them direct from Paris Disneyland.   

Clad in their brightly colored raincoats they are ready for the wet season ahead.  I have to say piglets is one of the cutest ones I have seen in a long time.   Sporting a pink and purple jacket with a nice yellow flower. He truly is adorable.

Headless horseman & Ichabod Crane

 These new bean bags that have started to arrive in USA Disney Stores.   If you wonder about these characters they are from Disney feature of Ichabod and Mr. Toad and their adventure into the Legend of Sleepy Hallow.   The release of these characters falls right into the Halloween spirit of items that can be found in the Disney Store right now.

The Wind in the Willows follows the wild ride of J. Thaddeus Toad, squire of Toad Hall. Walt's 100th

Hallmark and Disney are celebrating Walt's 100th Birthday.  From what I understand not every Hallmark has put out there items.  

There were many great items for sale.   Below are a few of them.  The first item is a full size water globe .

Disney Birthday Water Globe

Mini Water Globe

This is a mini globe. Same size as we see from the Disney store.  Here we see Sorcerer Mickey surrounded by waves.   In the waves at the front it says Share the Magic.  On the back side there is a little Walt's 100 logo.

Pewter Ornament Set

Walt's 100th Pewter Ornament set of six comes in a star box pictured above.   Here we see Mickey as a Sorcerer which seems to be the theme of Walt's 100th Birthday celebration.  This set sells for $19.95 at Hallmark stores in the USA.

Scooter Set

Paris Disneyland just released Mickey and Minnie Scooter Set.  Karin says that the translation she got was Stepping Mickey and Minnie, yet in the USA we call them Scooters.  There is also to be a Goofy in this Scooter set.

Rainy Day Set

Rainy Day Pooh, Tigger and Piglet have finally arrived to Disneyland Paris.  This set was scheduled to release back in June, then promised again in July.  Finally in August we see their arrival to the park.   You can order these directly from Soraya Disney Paris Ordering and Karin of Klarinet's Treasures has them available on ebay.

Prototype Mini Globe

Disney Auctions on Ebay just got done auctioning off this Mini Snowglobe prototype.  Numerous changes will be made to the globe as it proceeds toward final production which makes me believe we will see one similar to it this Christmas season.  Approx. 6" tall by 4.25" diameter.

Please note that yesterday we reported that these mini globes were available in Australia Disney Stores.  That fact was incorrect as the person who reported checked again and what they had seen was actually a cast members collection of the set.  Sorry the mis-information.

These mini globes can be currently found on ebay auction by Disney Auctions and thecollectionconnection.  As far as we know they are not available in the stores anymore.  They were originally sold online and some DS back in 1998.  They released one for each month of the year.

Graduation Cast Members Mickey

Exclusive bean bag that is presented to the Cast Members in UK/European Stores on Passing the three part exam on Theme Park Information.   He is not being sold in Disney Stores.

Mickey is in graduation robes which are red with a white t-shirt underneath.  He's got a red mortar board and yellow tassels,  a little scroll rolled up in his hand and 2001 is stitched on his foot.  On his ear he has a small tag (as shown above) which reads "not for resale" and "Exclusive".   Mickey Face is slightly fuzzy like the park Mickey's tend to be.

Monthly Mini Snow Globes

Update : 

Carol wrote in that these mini snow globes were available in the USA a couple of years ago.

Disney Auctions has these mini globes for sale on ebay right now.   Since I have not seen these at the Disney store I am assuming that they were available from the parks. If anybody has any other information please let me know. 

Pooh and Tigger ring in the new year together in this miniature snow globe designed to represent the month of January.

Face Expressions

Face Expressions (Smile, Wink and sleep) items are now available in Japan Disney Stores.   On July 20th Japan Disney Store started "Festival /Summer ".  At this time we reported that they would be selling Smile, Wink and Sleep Mickey and Pooh.    In July they released Mickey set and then in August we were to see Pooh.  

 Natsu reports that they are a bit smaller than normal Mbbp.  At first we thought that they would be plush with no bean but we found out that they do have beans in their belly.  They are 680yen each. Below you can see a comparison picture with mbbp Elephant Pooh.

Friendship Around the world!

Plush version for 2800yen.

The Japan version of the friendship set arrived in Japan Disney Stores today. Natsu tells me that they will not release very many of these ( Bean: 4000  Plush:2000) and you will only be able to buy one per person.   The Mbbp version will sell for  980yen and the Plush version for 2800yen.

Friendship set

USA Disney Stores have been receiving this Friendship set.  Unlike past releases of the friendship set, we are not seeing a release date, they are just arriving into the stores. Tigger is holding Roo and Roo is holding a small bear.   It is similar to the Japan version except reports on it were that Roo will be holding a small Pooh bear.   Hopefully we will have pictures of the Japan set to show you soon.  The USA version of the Friendship set will cost $14.

This year we will see Tigger in the friendship set.

New version of It's a Boy, It's a girl

 It's a Boy Pooh and It's a girl pooh beans can be found in UK Disney Stores and are selling for t £6.99.  

The newest release is different than the prior release.  The second release set is not small like the first set but regular bean bag size and made out of a toweling type material.  Another difference you will notice is that the new version have their names and the date 2001 on their gowns.

New 8" Plush

 USA Disney stores are receiving Apple Pooh, Corn Pooh, Bumblebee Pooh, Grape Pooh, Panda Bear Pooh, and Chicken Pooh, Turtle Pooh stand-up plush.  They do have beans in there feet but their hang tag does not say Mbbp.  Also unlike bean bags these small plush pooh bear's can stand all by themselves and they are well stuffed.

Disney Cruise Line beans

Mickey, Minnie and Goofy are new bean boat trio available from Disney Cruise Line.  Cast Away Cay Disney Cruise Line Bean Bag Set is a Disney Cruise Line Exclusive. Sold only on Disney Cast Away Cay Island.  17 inches long and 8 inches tall. It sold for $40.

The next two releases in the UK will bring us Watermelon and Strawberry Pooh.  Different than other fruit releases we have seen from Japan or the USA in the past, as these Pooh Mbbp are inside the fruit.   Very similar to other zip-up designs we have seen from the UK before, such as Pooh in a Pumpkin.

Watermelon Pooh is sitting inside a big padded  green watermelon and holding a slice of melon. He
retails at £7.99.

The Strawberry Pooh is sitting inside a strawberry and
holding a strawberry.  He also will retail at £7.99.

New Snowglobe

Just released in the UK is this new Mini snowglobe with  Eeyore sitting on a cloud and a crest moon to the side around the actual globe..  Inside the globe we see Eeyore holding with a star  in his mouth.  When you shake the snow globe silver stars float around Eeyore.  There is also a range of clothing items being sold in this theme being at the Disney Store.

Dumbo Dangle

Yuki has just found this adorable Dumbo Dangle which matches the Dumbo Mbbp that was released sometime back in Japan Disney Stores.  Dumbo is made out of a Furry type material and filled with beans.   The Mbbp retailed at 1200 yen.    I think it is very similar to other Furry items we have seen from Japan.  They are some of my favorite because the material is so nice.

More Pictures Zodiac Leo Pooh

July 19, 2001 Japan released Leo Pooh Mbbp 980 yen and Dangle 580 yen.

We had on our list of releases Tigger and Eeyore constellation series Little star.  We found out today that these are the same as the USA King Arthur Pooh set.  Also a interesting note is that they came with the same tags we see in the USA which is attached by plastic fastener.  Normally Japan beans have tag attached around neck with elastic.

Next week it was reported that Japan will receive Elephant Pooh another Little star design.

 Today Super Pooh's Sidekick Piglet was reported to have arrived in some USA Disney Stores.

Super Pooh

Super Pooh has just arrived in USA Disney Stores.   At first glance you might think that is UK Valentine Super Lover Pooh.   He is similar in style but he does have some extra's that make him a super hero.  He has the addition of purple gloves, lilac boots and a cape!  He's got Pooh written across is chest and his cape.

Zodiac Pooh Released today!

Today in Japan they saw the release of Leo Pooh Mbbp 980 yen and Dangle 580 yen.

We had on our list of releases Tigger and Eeyore constellation series Little star.  We found out today that these are the same as the USA King Arthur Pooh set.  Also a interesting note is that they came with the same tags we see in the USA which is attached by plastic fastener.  Normally Japan beans have tag attached around neck with elastic.

Next week it was reported that Japan will receive Elephant Pooh another Little star design.

Released Today

Indian Eeyore and Tigger are the next in the Indian set to be released in the UK Disney Stores this coming Tuesday July 17, 200.  This will complete the set.  They retail in the stores at £6.99

"Little Stars" Baby Mickey (Leopard costume), Baby Minnie (Pink Bunny costume) & Baby Donald (Penguin costume)  Mbbp and dangles have just arrived in Australia.   These were originally released in Japan in early March.   

Also reported to have shown up is a Sunflower Pooh dangler.   This Dangler pictured below is the one that showed up in Hong Kong.  I am not sure if this is the exact same Sunflower Pooh dangle reported as arriving.  If anyone knows please email!

Halloween Beans

Halloween bean bags are due to arrive in USA Disney Stores in August.  There has been some stores that have already put them out but from what I can tell there have been very few stores that have released them.  So don't get to anxious if you Disney Store has not put them out yet.. they will come :o) 

Halloween Plush

Bat Pooh is a 12" plush. His wings are purple satin material. Eeyore is a 8" plush and there is candy in his bag. His tag reads "Eeyore in Witch Costume w/candy".

Professor Pooh

Looks like professor Pooh is starting to arrive at USA Disney Stores.  Stephanie tells us that he looks like Albert Einstein with white hair and a mustache.  He is wearing a blue shirt and a red bow tie with dots.  Professor Pooh is holding chalk in one hand and  a chalkboard in the other which says E=MC2.

Up and coming releases

On July 31, 2001 we had listed as a new release Strawberry Pooh and Watermelon Pooh for the UK.   We have already had a fruit Pooh series come from Japan.  Usually the designs are different from Japan to the UK, but we were not sure what those differences were going to be.  Well we have found out is that the UK fruit series is suppose to be a zip-up fruit version.  

Next week on July 10th the UK will release these items.

Rainy Day update

Well I have been all month of June for my Rainy Day Pooh, Tigger and Piglet from Paris to arrive.  A lot of us received contact from Soraya last month stating that the set would ship in June.  Now it seems that they are going to be delayed even longer.   We hear end of July and some reports have said August.
